Binary Brewing announces new kitchen partner Teriyakimoto

Beaverton, Oregon’s only local within city-limits brewing operation BinaryBrewing.co has announced a new kitchen partner replacing MidCity SmashedBurger’s short one year stint in the space. On Wednesday, February 5th a new Asian-home cooking concept called Teriyakimoto will take the reins. MidCity is still serving at Binary through Sunday, February 2nd, 2025.

Founded by Beaverton natives and motorcycle enthusiasts Rick and Heidi Huch, Teriyakimoto introduces a fresh, Asian fusion menu with an emphasis on home-style cooking. Their debut menu will feature dishes such as their signature handrolled egg rolls, Chicken Teriyaki plates, beef and chicken burgers, and fun kids' meals. A fan-favorite, spam musubi, will also be on the menu.

Rick and Heidi's journey began when they met at Beaverton High School and reconnected 20 years later, eventually marrying and starting a family. Rick’s career as a motorcycle mechanic took him across the country, but his passion for sharing his family’s Asian cuisine never wavered. Heidi’s love for cooking and knack for recipe building enabled the two to create what they call “the best 'F*ckin Teriyaki Sauce on the planet”.

“The idea for Teriyakimoto came to me years ago in my shop in Southeast Portland,” Rick explained, “I’ve always wanted to share my mom’s egg rolls, and combining my family recipes with my love for motorcycles seemed like the perfect plan”.

Thus, the first popup event for Teriyakimoto debuted on the 4th of July in 2023 in Oak Hills, and the demand quickly followed. From events such as the One Moto Show and Beaverton’s Asian Night Market, Teriyakimoto has catered various local events.

“We are absolutely stoked to introduce Teriyakimoto to our guests,” said Josh Johnson, co-owner of BinaryBrewing.co. “Their food is fantastic and we think this will be an amazing partnership. We’re both passionate about our craft and look forward to giving Beaverton fresh, curated dishes and beer.”

Teriyakimoto will begin serving its new menu starting Wednesday, February 5th, 2025. For more information about BinaryBrewing.co, Teriyakimoto, and the upcoming launch event, visit the brewery’s website at www.BinaryBrewing.co or follow them on social media.
